Water flow question

As I stated in an earlier post, I've been out of the hobby for a few years. What is the "rule of thumb" on flow rates to the sump for a FOWLR? I don't remember if it's 5X the water volume of the tank or more. The tank is a 54 corner.
 
I would think that you would want to be closer to 10x at least. That moves detritus past your live rock better and gives more opportunity for proper processing and breakdown. It can also reduce algae growth. Some reefs run as much as 30x times so I don't think you could have too much unless you got real extreme.
