Hello,

So I’m going to be filling my tank to leak test the hard plumbing I’ve done. My question is I’d like to leave the aquascape in to water flow from my two Maxspect pumps. If I use just tap water is this going to “bleed” into the rock or should I be fine?. Or just go Rodi water. My 2nd question is when I get the tank filled can I mix the salt into the Rodi in my tank or do I have to make it in brute cans and warm it up.

for the INITIAL FILLING ONLY, adding salt to the display is ok.
Once the tank is running and has live creatures in it, NEVER add salt to the tank directly.

Yes, you can do the leak test with tap water.....won't affect anything as long as you drain it and use RO/DI water to refill. Also, as stated, you can add the salt afterwards as long as you don't have any livestock.
