Had a question optimum flow for my 37 gal bow front reef tank! I have 2 hydor 240s and a hang on aqua clear 70 this is the set up I have right now. The one on the right is slightly turned towards the surface and the left pump is level pointed at the right pump! About 3 inches below waters surface! Any suggestions on placement would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

Hard to say without actually watching the water movement. When I am trying to fine tune my flow it helps to add some air bubbles, or when you have fish dropping in food to see the movement.

In a young tank I focus harder on nutrient export ensuring as much uneaten food or poop is not settling on the bottom. As you add corals you develop easy indicators based on their responses to water movement. In those situations coral placement can might be a better focus than the pump placement.
