So I've read up on Natural Salt Water but I'm not a huge fan, so with mixing artificial salt water what is the best way to get your water?

- Pure Dew Bottled Water from the grocery store

- RO/DI tap water

- Treated Tap water

- Tank water from the roof

RO/DI hands down. Get a TDS meter and proper refractometer.

I have my own under the sink in my guest bathroom and you would never know it's there.

Without doubt, RO/DI.....that was home made.....don't trust the quality of LFS water.

I think the majority of people will agree to use RO/DI water. I personally use RO/DI and it’s been one of my best investments into this hobby. Your taking out all the crap in your tap water and having piece of mind that your putting clean water in your tank. I’ve seen tanks that use a water conditioner and they are loaded with gha or other types of algae. A lot of people are put off by the initial cost cause $10 for a bottle of water conditioner is a lot easier to swallow than $150 for an RO/DI system. Also going to get water from the grocery store seems like it would old pretty quick.

Haha okay RO/DI it is as expected. How many gallons/liters of tap water do you get for each gallon/liter of RO water?

I believe with the BRS unit it’s either a 3:1 or 4:1 ratio meaning for every 3/4 gallons of waste water you get 1 gallon of product water. On my unit I have the water saver upgrade kit which recycles the waste water. I think they said it should bring it up to a 1:1 ratio providing your water pressure is 65 psi
