What are you guys using or making for a gauge

I just open the lid and peep inside.;)

I know some use airline tubing and utilizing fittings one toward the top and one toward the bottom and the water flows into the tubing showing the level.

I saw that was wondering if it worked

Sure does. Personally for me not worth the hassle of the time and couple dollars. Rather just put my eye on it.

The problem for me is there up on a bench so I would have to climb a platter everytime.Thank you for the info off to home depot I go.

Gotcha. Yeah then that trick would definitely help ya out

Mine are ground level so I just open the top. Add an auto float shut off valve to your RODI and make water constantly that way you know they're always full.

I have a float for top off also. But the problem with this is TDS build up in the rodi when it's not working. So when you have small spurts of new water good chance there is TDS being introduced.

I have 50 gallon drums and dont refill until I have about 15g left. Before I let it flow in my drum I let the line drain into a bucket until the see the output TDS at 0

I made one using two 1/2" uniseals, two 1/2" elbow barb x spigot fittings (https://www.bulkreefsupply.com/90-elbow-barb-x-spigot-street.html) and clear tubing. It took about 5 minutes to install and works perfectly.

I'll take a picture when I get home tonight.

Here you go! When I get a chance I’m going to write the gallon markings on the tube.

Depends on how sophisticated you want to get. You can get some eTape which is a liquid level sensor that you place vertically in the water and can detect the water level. They come in various lengths and if you get one long enough for the 55 drum, it can detect where the level is from empty to full. They usually have a linear response curve that makes the algorithm simple, interface it with the right processor and you can have it show up on a display next to the 55 gallon drum. But really at that point the possibilities are endless. No more climbing on a table to lift the lid to see the water level.
