I wouldn't consider myself a beginner, but only a little over a year of experience. I setup my newest tank, which is a 25 gallon cube. I added another bag of live sand, whole bag was a little overkill lol (have about 3-3.5 inches of substrate now) But now the water is horrid, milky white color. Previous tanks settled with the power head and filter running in about six hours. It's been 24 hours and looks like water downed skim milk. I'm still running the filter and cleaning it every 8 hours. Any suggestions before I change out 10 gallons would be much appreciated.

Just let it run. It's happened a time or two for me as well.

Any Live Rock or Dry Rock in the tank? This tends to help settle it a bit.

Yeah, I've been rinsing the filters and there's about 12lbs of dead live rock in the bottom from my previous tank.

I say if you don't have anything in there just shut everything off and let it all settle for a couple hrs. The pumps keep everything suspended.

Yeah, I ended up draining the tank. We have a filtration unit on our water system at the house cause the iron content is extremely high and the water is murky. Well, the filtration unit went out, I used tap water to fill the tank after the filter went out. I didn't know it was bad at the time. I ended up spending the cash on the natural ocean water.
