ok first of all i am completely off grid solar power only with a well my problem is for my 120g reef, i already have RODI system here but even with RO my ph is 4.5 its totally terrible and at the well comes out blood red but goes through many filters even when you fill up the bath tub you cant see the bottom its murky on my 30g reef i did a mix of ro water from the store and neighbors tap water no problems at all algae wise but what i was asking is if i use our ro water could i just use a buffer to get the ph up and be safe or what should i do ....... btw our water has lots of iron in it i will do some more testing tho on the ro water

I had a similar situation. You are going to have to get creative. Yes you can balance the ph and use it. But it's not a great solution. Water that heavy is just bad news. Look into other ways to filter water other than the traditional rodi. Cartridges are going to cost a fortune anyways so maybe there is something else.

What's the dkh, ca, and mg after u mix salt? The buffer will raise your dkh drastically so be careful and good luck. Please keep us updated.
