Water level problem

On my 5 gallon nano tank the water level won’t stay constant I do have an ato so i don’t know what to do about it

What kind of ato do you have and where do you have the sensor or float switch ? Any pictures of your setup?

I am unfamiliar with that ATO... but it looks as if your sensor is in the main display. No sump on this tank, right?

If the ATO is working as it should, the water level shouldn't vary beyond the normal hi/low range of the ATO sensor(s) in this sort of installation. Maybe the allowable variance with this ATO is higher than you might want?
 
Looks like your sensor is right by a return of some kind? or a powerhead? ATO sensors need to be in a spot that have little to now wave movement to keep the sensor from being activated incorrectly.

The sensor is inside the pipe to block any flow from getting to it
