Hi all,
Just started my new aquarium today. Very happy with my DIY accomplishment.

Anyways what do you think is a good water level in a running aquarium?
Currently I am running 1/2" from the bottom of the Euro bracing.

Do you think this is good or should I close the gap a bit more?

Thanks for your help in advance.

To be honest it does not really make much of a difference, the more you close the gap the more water there is in the tank. I think you are fine but could increase it if you want to. Post some pics of your tank!

Thanks Shep.
I'm just not sure that I would be better off with just a 1/4".

Check out my build for some pictures. I'll be posting more soon. Kids brought home a nasty cold that took hold of me today so I'm kinda laying low.

I agree with @Shep it is more of less were you would like the water line. After that keep it there and it will be easier to manage you parameter later on
