Water Levels for Newbie

Can someone give me a good idea of perfect water levels for optimal growth and conditions? And to which ones should be buffered before an others! (I know some of my levels are low) please list in the order I did, as it will help me and any other new ones out there ! :)

Ammonia - 0
Nitrate - 0
Nitrite - 0
Ph - 7.8
Kh - 9
Ca2 - 400
Mg - 1280

You should have as close to zero readings on the top 3. The rest are fine. Frequent water changes are very important.
 
I think your PH is low. Usually it should be around 8.2 ~ 8.4
What kind of salt do you use?
 
Your PH will vary depending on the time of day. If you just checked it then that seems about right. :)
 
Your numbers are fine. I would not chase the pH, since any time of year that the house is all closed up you will have elevated levels of CO2 in the household atmosphere. Once you can open some window's you will see it improve. As long as your Ca, Mg and Alk are where they need to be it'll be fine. I would not try to increase it using some type of pH buffer, since with the CO2 issue, any increase is only going to be temporary anyway. And, contrary to what they may say, it will increase your alk.
