Hi all,

I'm planning out a 40B. For corals I'm going with palys and LPS. It's going to be a peninsula setup with the overflow in the back.

I was wondering if 2 Vortech or 2 gyres would be better.

Thanks all!

I would go with 2 MP10s. I tried a single gyre in my 40b and it was simply too much for the tank. I think the gyre is a great option for larger tanks, but would stick with the vortechs for a 40b. I currently have a single MP40 @ about 30% in my 40b mixed reef, I have zoas, shrooms, lots of LPS (mainly euphelia), a little SPS, Clam, and anemones (carpets and BTA).
