Water overdose

Randy, my ATO dumped 4 gallons of water into my tank. Luckily nothing seems too affected or mad. I sucked out the extra saltwater from the tank and dumped it back into the ATO to slowly bring back up the salinity. Is that a good idea or bad using saltwater from the tank? I currently ran
Out of salt and had to order some more.

Yes, that sounds like a good plan.

How big is the tank?

It's around 40 gallons

Ok, so that's worth adding back. It would drop 1.026 to about 1.023.

Yep that's what it dropped to. I'm happy nothing bad happened to the tank!
