Hey everyone, I want to get some coral. Tank has been running since August of 2021. Right now in my tank I only have candy cane corals. I want to add more color in my tank. I mainly run blues. I do like btp. I do like corals that move with water movement. My set up is very basic, fluval lights, 2 hob, and 1 uv. The tank is an 40g breeder. Any reconditions?

There are tons of colorful zoas and mushrooms that should do great in your tank. Those candy canes look very nice for such a basic setup. Parameters look good just keep an eye on your calcium and phosphates. You can even consider buying a torch, frogspawn, or hammer.

What are good levels for calcium? Would a anemone be a smart Move?

Nem in a new tank is never a good idea. A tank should be fairly well established before adding sensitive inverts like an anemone.

Good calcium number - anywhere between 400 and 500 is perfectly fine. Stability matters more then a particular number. Pick a number, and keep it there.

A nem should be fine as far as tank maturity but Im not sure about the lights. I have no knowledge on them not saying they won't work. My bubble tips sit under 350 - 400 par. A rock dwelling nem may wonder over the coral you have mounted on top.

Grab some Frogspawn and Cespitularia.
Frogspawn has been the hardiest euphylia for me and Cespitularia could be mounted down low and give some movement on the sand bed. Might have to keep an eye on the flame angel. Mine has been fine with coral but other people have reported issues.
