Hello guys.
I have 10g cube, my current water parameter
ph 7.6 -7.8
Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 0
Calcium 440
Magnesium 1260
Alkalinity 9.6
All corals and fish are seems happy. My questions are how I bring my PH level and magnesium level up to maximize corals grow? My tank ph always been on that level since first time I set up the tank. I am thinking to use Kalkwasser on my ATO but does Kalkwasser will help to increase my magnesium level as well? I know that Kalkwasser will help to increase my PH, alk, and cal level. I lost about 200 ml a day or less than half a gallon of water due to evaporation every week.
thank you

I wouldn’t worry to much about the pH level as trying to increase it could cause all sorts of issues, and also remember the test kits could have a margin of error as well. If everything is healthy I would leave that alone

Your Magnesium is a little low but maybe just add some magnesium powder depending on what your using.

This is an excellent guide on water parameters

And welcome to R2R as well by the way!

I only adjust my Mag about once a month. It depletes at such a low level it does not concern me. I normally shoot for 1380-1400 in my tank. I use red sea for Mag.
My tanks have run at that level for a couple of years and I got growth and happiness. On my bigger reef I installed a CO2 scrubber to increase the PH and I am getting faster growth, but not necessary at all.

If you are able to crack a window nearby it will help by a tenth or two which would be good enough. On a tank that size, I'd be wary of additives to chase pH.

I don't suppose you have a skimmer on a 10G, so kinda rules out running an airline to outdoor air.

It might because I live in apartment that doesn’t have a lot window open all the time. I tried to adjusted my wave maker up and return water to catch some air. I don’t have skimmer, would like to have one but since its a small system I don’t think I really need it for the moment.
thank you

I pick up some Red Sea reef foundation yesterday. I would like to dose magnesium. Any tips Red Sea magnesium dosing since you been using it as well?
thank you
