Alk was very low 4days ago at 5.6, Calcium 502, I forgot the rest
Within the 4day I did 3 water change, 1st one at 40%, rest at10-15%. Dosed 6ml alk total since last night. Before I dosed 2 mil alk last night my Calcium reading from redsea around 490ish, alk at 6.2, then I dosed 2mil this morning. And then 2mil tonight. Before the 3rd dose alk at 6.8, did not test Calcium, phosphate at 0.01
The gsp was closed for 4 or 5 days, and did reopened today. So I assumed because of alk was very low.
The toadstool when I got it it was bending at 90 degree on a piece of small rock. so I had it glued facing up, but over night the base stock? Got straightened up and ended up looking like what it is on the picture. Up until earlier today around 7pm. But then now it limped facing down within 3hr and I'm not sure why. I did a quick research and it doesn't look like it's rotting, or detaching it self.
My pH been lower than 8 that's the reason why I decided to dose small amounts of alk instead only relying on water change to bring up the alk. Hope by doing that I can bring alk and pH up to where I wanted it to be.
So my questions are is it OK for me to do what I'm doing right now? As far as water parameter goes. And for toadstool should I just wait and see what it does? And inspect more closely in the main time.
Ammonia 1 (from lfs), nitrite test kit never gives me a reading since cycling the tank reads 0 from lfs, nitrate 2 from lfs all 4days ago.
Alk 6.8 today, Calcium 490ish 24hr ago, mag normal? I forgot test from lfs 4days ago, phosphate 0.01 today
And don't mind the apex salinity it's been reading high I think. 1st calibration the ready was not stable keep going up to 50 range, 2nd calibration it's been reading stable at the level from the picture. But with hanna salinity tester I use for test tank and mixing bucket it's been at 1.26-1.27 I've been relying on the Hanan to read my salinity. And I recalibrate it every 3 weeks.
Sorry for the rambling I am trying give more detail as I can hope you guys can give me some pointers
