I'm deciding on try to add corals to my tank again. I've tried a few times in the past with little success mainly due to not enough knowledg and not enough water testing. I plan on having Lps and soft corals. As far as to what everybody is saying, if i keep the lighting, current, ammonia, nitrite, nitrate,ph, calcium, and alkanity all under control, everything should be right? or is there anything else to consider?

I have a current USA light
ok new one with lenses? or older model
what size tank?
do you know your No Po? approx
Cal alk and mag can be kept up with water changes if done often enough.
stony corals esp montipora IME will require easy dosing.

no coral in yet, still wanna do more research first
IMO. dont sweat it too hard. Many folks overthink the heck out of it.
But decent light, good flow. good temp, ato for salinity and and somewht regular water changes actually work well.
overfeeding is probably the biggest trick to master. High No and Po are the result.
dont be discouraged by the ugly phase. It happens. just keep cleaning.
