It's also the numbers I find give me the best growth with sps

you can get great growth but very risky running that high

Yup that's why I keep it there....it's what my salt mixes to.

One thing about this hobby is, never say never. If my alkalinity were 12, bad things would happen, from my experience with my present mixed reef.
