Okay guys so I’m in my third week of cycling I have one 1.5 pounds of live Fiji rock in tank and about 55 pounds of dry rock was just wondering if my parameters are looking okay.

Nitrite: .5 ppm

Nitrate: 20 ppm

Ph: 8.2

Sg: 1.025

Ammonia: .1 ppm

Temp: 78 degrees

Every tank cycles at it's own rate. You've got a lot of dry rock to populate with bacteria. Are you running your lights? If so, what is your photoperiod? Don't get in too big of a hurry for your tank to get ugly. You'll get tired of it soon enough. :)

I would start running your lights as soon as you get them. Start with maybe a 5 hour photoperiod and ramp up gradually. I can almost guarantee your tank will get ugly quick.

Okay definitely excited to get my lights and see them on, should be interesting to see how things go!

Just an update on my tank lights are on I have two AI prime HD’s on my tank and it’s definitely getting the diatom bloom now! Clean up crew was added last night.

Hang on. The exciting part is about to happen.... OPEN YOUR WALLET! Lol.
