90 Gallon Display Tank
Below are the water parameters I think are correct for my tank. I assume it will depend on the type of tank. It will eventually be a LPS tank. To be honest i have not worried to much about ALK,PHOS,CALC, and MAG since i was not ready to add corals yet, may be a mistake. i plan on dosing Red Sea Foundation ABC product to get these inline unless told other wise.
I have not added any corals yet, just 4 fish with the last 2 fish to be added by the end of the year (1 in November and the last(for now) in December). Plan is to get the parameters correct, stabilize, get some coraline going hopefully by February, then add corals through out the year in 2021. I layed a 2 year plan to get the tank up and going (Year 1 Water and Fish -- Year 2 Corals) cant say i rushed this tank
.
Temp 75-79 (holds steady at 77.5)
Salinity - 1.023- 1.026 (holds steady at 1.025)
PH 8.0 - 8.25 (was holding steady around 8.28-8.31) Screwed that up today by adding vinegar and dropped it to 8.02 (Frig) because I thought it was high and later found out it was perfect.
Ammonia 0 ( has been -0- since cycle completed 8 months ago)
Nitrite 0 (has been -0- since cycle completed 8 months ago)
Nitrate <2 (was holding steady around 2-5 and creeped up to 7-10) Screwed that up this week by dosing NOPOX the last week trying to lower it and created a bloom that made the tank cloudy and put my foxface into complete freak out mode.
Found out that his could be right on the money as well.
Alk 8-12 (holds around 7.5-7.9 last several weeks)
PHOS <.2 (holds around .11 - .13)
CALC 380-480 (holds around 440-465)
MAG 1200 - 1400 (holds around 1540 -1560)
Any comments or suggestions on parameters is appreciated.
Thank You
