I’ve had my Waterbox 20 up and running for a little over two months. There are a few corals; some zoas, hammer, duncan, candy cane and a couple other small LPS. I also have a pair of clowns. My test results this evening were:

PH: 8.0
DKH: 8.3
CA: 370
MG: 1110
Salinity: 1.026

I was just curious if my weekly water changes aren’t enough and if my calcium and magnesium were too low? I’m getting my water from the LFS and they are using instant ocean. These tests were done with Salifert test kits. Thanks in advance.

Yep getting a little low. Maybe suppliment with a small amount of kalkwasser in your top off freshwater

It sounds like you don't have very many corals so really just switching to a reef salt would be ideal. But if your sticking with the lfs water (which I have learned not to trust) then just grab some kalk (ms wages pickling lime) from Walmart in the canning section. Or spend more for the fancy brightwell stuff. Either one will be fine

Ideally, I would like to be making my own water. Hope to soon. I tend to already have to dilute the lfs water as the salinity has been too high lately. Until then I will look into kalkwasser. Thank you.
