Hello fellow fish people.. Doe's anyone remember these bag filters?. It is a COM1001 by Emperor Aquatics. They where then and are now quite expensive! Most made now are stainless steel I don't think they are salt friendly at all out of any I could find. So, how do they work..? I dug this out and repaired it, there was a broken fitting on the bottom, fixed it. I then ordered 100micron nylon mesh, a 200micron felt filter sock, and a 300micron nylon mesh bag. All are 27 inch's long and 7 inch's in diameter. Hooking up a new Aqua-Mag Model 18 - 1800 GPH pump. As I have to clean my whole tank system (after some 24 years, 25 years coming Jan 1st) and I am thinking I mite be able to add in a little diatom powder as well. I do have the large Vortex diatom filter and lots of extra parts. But it is just to small.. and sump socks just don't work only such a little bit. I am needing to cleaning a 120 gallon, 90 gallon, and a 110 gallon horse trough with a sump in it, all in the same system. With right at 150 lbs of live rock. Any ideas at all..? Most of all has anyone ever had one of these..? Sorry so many questions...Thanks
