Just a question from the pro's.

I've checked my ppm is at 3 ppm before I put my live rock that I have soaked in 1 to 10 bleach for 48 hours and left it out in the sun after washing it down with just tap water for 3 days.
As soon as I dumped the live rock into the bucket my ppm went up to 116 ppm. Is there a problem with this live rock? Do I need to re-bleach this live rock and clean it again?
Advise please...

What ppm are you refering to? Ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, phosphate?

That is a TDS meter. It measures the Total Dissolved Solids in your water. It would make perfect sense that the TDS would go in after adding your rock. Perhaps another member of the #reefsquad can explain it better than I can

Thank you. I was freaking out when the water tester tested 118 ppm.

Saltwater tests super high for TDS.

I have never tested just RO with LR. But it's safe to assume that you would have TDS registering with LR.

Shouldn't be an issue.

would make sense TDS went up if the rocks were washed with tap water, my tap water TDS is over 200

The only water you want to have with low to zero TDS is the top off water or the water you start to make saltwater with. Adding any rock, no matter how clean will add to the TDS reading. It's not an issue. Now test water with the LR in it for phosphate, nitrate or ammonia and you'll be doing worthwhile tests.
