So you read the Po4 binds to rock. If the rock came from a high Po4 environment its bound up on the rock. Many folks will acid dip rock to avoid this. In curing rock in a bucket many will use gfo as well.

This makes a lot of sense. I feel like my algae lowerd when I took my live rock out. Or maybe it was because the rock was closer to the light than the sand ;p

Also thanks for the idea about the gfo in the curing bucket.
