If you're starting with a cuc then yeah, good to go. :-)

Have you seen your tank cycle? aka ammonia spike then nitrite then nitrate...

I would suggest you spike the nutrients and make sure they can come back down to zero. Have you been ghost feeding it?

Wyattray I haven't been ghost feeding either I thought as I added nutria sea this along with live sand and rock would have started the cycle process I have been reading this on various websites ?

Zack I haven't this is first time I have tested to be honest I have diatom on my sand ?

You should be good to go. Add fish slowly and watch our levels. It takes some time for the beneficial bacteria to build up. Patience is your friend

So do you think I should just start with one or two clown fish and see how it goes being honest I want a couple of corals in there eventually but I was planning on adding a cuc and the following month a couple of small clowns then leave it a couple months to make sure all is ok. Do u think I should do cuc first or fish ?

Definitely start with two once the rank is ready. Otherwise you risk one being territorial.

So you guys think I should put two small clown in to start with then wait till all my parameters are ok again before adding clean up crew is that right ?

If you can add them together. Watch parameters closely. Should counteract each other IME. Then just take it slowly.

One other question I actually was thinking about adding 3 different small fish bright colours any suggestions what can live together and are brights ?

Make sure your parameters are ok before adding any fish or clean up crew. Once the tank is ready you can add clean up crew with fish. I have a fire shrimp that serves that purpose very well and is extremely hardy.

HB AL what food would u suggest as I will be getting a clown fish on Monday all going well would I be best getting food suitable for that ? 2 birds 1 stone lol

Yah I would suggest before anything you add some food in there and test it over the next couple days. On one of my tanks a 40g I did the same thing as you and when I added fish the bacteria colonization could not handle the bio load of 2 fish and 1 feeding a day. Its better to be safe than sorry.

Also what kind of filtration do you have or plan on having?

Will I just feed tank with food suitable for clowns then as am getting them eventually
