Water Smelling Weird

For those who use Reef Crystals, does the water normally smell odd, or weird, I don't know how to describe it, but I just started using Reef Crystals and when I used plain Instant Ocean it didn't have this smell. Does it always smell like that, is it normal?

It does have a very "fresh" kinda smell to it if that is what your refering too. I'd describe it as a much sronger smell but similiar to the smell you get when its about to rain outside. Either way I personally haven't had any negative effects from using RC and just switched back to it after trying TM pro coral for a while.

I've known people that use long tubes and let water sit in the tubes from one water change to the next and you can get a very strange sulfur smell if you are doing something like that.

LOL thanks rev and im not sure, but the nano is underway and being filled as I type, will be sure to post pictures and start a journal about it when I find the USB cord.

Thanks BKV yea it did smell fresh, and I was a little nervous but it seems to go away after being moved from bucket to cooler to tank.

yea same here... I notice it at first, but after airating for about 30 minutes it goes away as well.

okie dokie everyone, thanks for the help, water is smelling pristine if water can even smell pristine, but I think its good.
