What storage containers are people using to keep their RODI supply water.... I just figured out that my 30gal plastic container is leaching into the water I've been making... Testing direct RODI into a glass container I'm looking at <10 ppmTDS when I test the same water in my storage container,, 200ppm. Don't know how long this has been going on. Can't believe it.. I do keep a circulator pump running in the storage container, could that possibly be the problem??

Your RODI coming from the unit should be zero, if it’s around 10 a filter replacement is long overdue. 200 TDS is crazy though! Even my TDS from the tap is about 160. I store my RODI in poland spring containers (5 gallon) and some Deep Blue water jugs.

All containers you will have TDS. Dust, pet hair and etc all contribute to it I swap between containers every so often. I tested my container that I bought from sump manufacturer and it had high TDS as well.

Trigger Systems water storage containers. ;)

how important is it to be at zero?? my tap is also near 160 so I figure 10 is a real treat..LOL

when mixing salt for water changes, usually 25 gallons, 5 gallons containers make it rough.. LOL

I changed my water change schedule to account for this. Instead of less frequent but larger water changes, I find it easier to do a 5G water change on my 110G system once a week and then a 25% over the course of 2 days every 6 months.

sounds like a plan,,, probably would work for me if I made the water the day prior to my water change but like to have a load on hand in case of a crash of some type..
