I am just staring in the hobby and was wondering if you can store Saltwater and RODI water in 7 gallon containers as in the photo attached?
If so how long would it be ok to store in these without it getting bad? Looking for an easy space saving way to will work best.

Hello, yes many people transport RODI (or saltwater) in containers like those. Many LFSs sell RO water and some will sell salt (and some that sell saltwater mixed do have consistency problems, so be mindful of testing your salinity even if you aren't the one mixing your saltwater. If you use those types of containers, and IF you have both RO & salt needs, then label your containers so you don't cross contaminate your RO with salt.

Be mindful that your tank creatures can't get away from the water you add. Unlike us, if something is rank we can move out of our houses to a hotel for a night until fixed.

Post #3 talks about my RO and picture including my containers. I use a container (right side, top rack) to transport RO from laundry room to my freshwater auto-top off under saltwater tank in cabinet beside sump:

I’ve used that exact same product for freshwater storage for many years. Had two of them, but I keep them in my kitchen and I dropped a pizza upside down on top of one of them when the top was off. Some pepperoni and other toppings fell inside and I didn’t think it was worth it to try and clean it out. Tough to clean them out. Easy to pour into my ato container. Yes. I ate the pizza.

LOL...Can't waste the pizza. That would be shameful.
