Water storage/mixing stations

This is great! I literally just tore down, cleaned, rearranged my mixing station last night! Just a suggestion I know Walmart sells 7 gal water storage containers, maybe a couple of those would do? I have a few laying around my house for a " just in case" scenario! I like seeing everyone's stations btw!

I use these 20 gallon containers from plastic-mart.com and they work great and come with bulkheads installed. I typically only fill to the 15 gallon mark and perform 1-gallon daily water changes. My tank with sump is about 20 gallons so I am changing about 5% daily. I also use the freshwater RODI container as my ATO.

my just finished water mixing station. Thanx to all the photos. And advice. 2 35 gallon tanks and a DCT-4000 jecod pump. I have a quarter inch hose long enough to take water to dt. No more buckets, and big messes.

35 gallon horizontal tanks through Amazon - great price delivered. I do 20 gallon changes. Works pretty well. The right side I keep full of RODI. Then I mix it in the left tank. Hope that helps.

where do you drill your hole for the float so that you can fill up your container to its full capacity?

Here's a picture. The hole is just above the "35 Gallon" sticker, where the blue RODI line connects to the float switch base (the white thing). Hope this helps. Cheers! An Merry Christmas!

Have you figured this out? I just got one of these Norwesco 65 gallon vertical tanks. Looking to start shopping around to plumb it.
