Water Temperature 81 is it safe

My water temp usually stays between 80-81 in the summer and Im fine with it. as long as it doesnt fluctuate from 78 to 81 in a short amount of time I think you should be fine.

Yup, had mine go from 79 to 85 in four hours, only my diamond goby survived

When I was in Pensacola a few years ago the water temp was close to 90. I don't think anything in the 80s will hurt the fish. However this is a controversial topic. Someone posted a really good article that I can't find about how temps in aquariums can be much higher then people think. I keep mine at 79.

Okay just wanted to know Cus it's always at 79/81 thanks for advice

As long as temp is gradually going up you should be ok. I've read somewhere its ok for a tank to go up to 90f. It's only what I have read, I have had my tank up to 86f with no die off ie: sps/lps/clam/fish with no problems what's so ever

I scuba dive in the Caribbean. Temperatures in the summer are often in the low eighties. I understand that when temps get into the mid eighties coral browning can occur. At 81 degrees tropical reef fish, inverts and corals should be fine. The recommendation of 78 degrees just gives a wide margin of error.

**** it's not full summer yet and my tanks are warming up my 40 breeder is at 86.2 my 30 long is at 83 my 55 is at 83.
It's going to be a bad summer I think my 40 is high Cus the light it's right on top of the versa top it's like 2 to 3 inch over the water
I think it's the Humidity it's warmer in my apartment then out side.

ATM I can't do nothing to lower the temp the only tank that okay is the one in my bedroom which is my 20 gallon Cus my a/c is there. All the other tanks are in my living room

In a pinch frozen bottles of water will help to lower temp.

Also is this tank covered? You can try a fan mounted to the tank. I think marine depot.com has some for 25-40 $ for what its worth. A box fan would help a lot.
