Hi everyone. Just starting my 75 gallon salt water aquarium. Going into week two of cycling. I live in Arizona so my temp in the house is around 78 degrees. I have two 100 watt heaters I keep at opposite ends of my tank. I noticed the temperature can swing from around 77-80 degrees (I'm guessing due to when the lighting is on). I was thinking of just setting both heaters to 79 degrees to keep it stable. I am wondering if 79-80 degrees will be too hot for false pecula clowns, tangs and shrimps? These, along with LR, are going to constitute my tank, give or take. I wish I could afford a chiller but that's just way way outta my price range currently. Any suggestions?

No your temps are fine. I would leave it at 78 and let it go 78 to 90.

If it is your lights youll be going 79 to 81 if you set 79.

You mean 78-80 right? So the temps jumping 2-3 degrees won't harm the fish?

not at all,
In fact you will find that most heaters have 5+ degree swing between on-off, unless they are electronic controlled.
