Ok cycling tank update! Water test kit came today! Whoot whoot! Now i checked my current tank first. 20 gall.salt. Ph 8.1/8.2, ammonia 0, nitrite 0, nitrate 0. Hydrometer, 1.021/1.022. The new tank 45 gall., all the same except hydro at 1.020. Which i assume i fix which a super small water change, and retest.? Right? Fluval carbon only change, rinse with r.o., and skimmer still not skimming what I hoped for, but, that seems to be due to no fish in tank, so no fish poop. Ive been ghost feeding and used biospera last week? What u all think... time to drip acclimate my 3 little guys in smaller tank to the new one? Or?... i welcome all feedback. Thankyou so much!

You want your salinity up to 1.025 - 1.027 for a reef tank. I would get your salinity up via a water change using this calculator: https://www.hamzasreef.com/Contents/Calculators/TargetSalinity.php and keep monitoring for a few days making sure you keep it the right level and get a feel for how much fresh water you need to add daily to keep the salinity stable. How long has the live rock been in the new aquarium?

Live rock has been in since day 2. Been cycling 3 weeks. Ghost fed, biosperia 7 days ago. No live critters in tank yet.

2 firefish,1 gobi, 2 snail. Of course, with acclimation.. nothing done yet. After them, i was gonna wait 2 weeks for bio adjustment ?

And hope the skimmer can actually start skimmimg. Hahhahaha
