Water test question

That is very interesting! I have the window open now as I type lol I'm also gnna do a water change tomorrow before work and I'm sure that will help rebalance things also.

Great, let us know what happens to the ph. It can take a whole day though. Some people with a skimmer run their line outside. But i wouldnt normalise the ph yet until the alkalinity is back to normal, the higher ph could be harmful to the fish. How are your fish?

Api is a notoriously unreliable test kit and with numbers that unbelievable high I'd get a second opinion before dumping chemicals into ur tank. A good second opinion would be to mix up a gallon of fresh saltwater with 0 tds rodi water and see what it reads. Should be somewhat close to the lvls on the box for the salt(although these vary as well).

My api kh kit is the same as my salifert kit and my hanna alk checker.

My fish are fine acting totally normal and my turbo snails are cleaning away so they don't seem to affected by it.

what salt are you using ???
I buy my water premixed from my LFS. I think they told me that they use red ocean salt mix for their water. Im new to the hobby and I haven't tried making my own salt water yet.
