Water test reading question

RO/DI ? or RO ? You are sure this has tested out at 0 ?
When we calibrate our pH probes, we use 7 and 10 because we will be using it in water between 7 and 10. We dont use 2 and 4 to calibrate.
Before I use my refractometer I'll use rodi water to make sure 0ppt is 0ppt, then use 35ppt calibration solution to calibrate it.
You're more than welcome to use just rodi, but then you're not calibrating.
Just because inquiring minds wanting to know.... have you tested your rodi water and fresh salt mix water for Alk?
I'll check on that and I'll share my results

I know that the manufacturer recommend calibrating to 0 with rodi. That has proven to be very inaccurate. When calibrating an instrument you want to be calibrating in the range you are testing for. A tiny difference at 0 is much larger higher up the scale. I got some accurasea 35 ppt solution on Amazon and there was a significant difference from calibrating with rodi

So I tested my rodi and it's at zero tds . So I test my tank again and her it's the results my mag. Is at 1680 my cal is at 475 my dkh is at 11.8 pH is at 7.6 phos is at 0.64 and my salt level is at 1.032 which I took out water and put in rodi water and it's 1.026 now im making salt water and I'm test that and that about it here is a pic of my tank
