all red sea kit:
Ca 430 alk 9.3 Mg 1600 ph 8.4 nitrate 12 phosphate .08
temp 77 F salinity 35ppt. red sea reef 90 light 100 blue 35 white
I think nitrate is a pinch high but not bad. I decided to go from a ultra low of 2 nitrate .02 phosphate. but I added a algae scrubber to help keep heavy feeding in check. my thoughts are heavy feeding with the scrubber and skimmer is keeping things more balanced at a higher levels. before I was not as stable bottoming out at 0 phosphate and 0 nitrate. one day boom! dinos and it sucked.
I do not dose just 5 gallon water change once a week keeps my levels in check. no GFO or Carbon.
System is 48 gallon 40 lbs live rock inch thick sand bed. I feed 1-2 cubes of mysis. feed corals 1 to 2 times a week 1/4 teaspoon polyplab coral food and 2 full droppers of amino the same time.
I could use some input.
1. My Mg seems to never drop just stays at 1600Mg. maybe a bad kit? I use red sea kit for all.
2. any suggestions on my levels?
3. am I going about this all wrong. trying to stay stable and get good growth.
PICS To come.

was gonna post old pics but relied my profile pic is my old one. ill take some pics some corals went.. dinos some recovering. some none effected.
