Water turned yellow-ish

Hi folks, I made a quarantine tank a day ago and somehow the water is now yellow-ish but it is still clear. My filter system consists of only Seachem matrix and Seachem purigen. I just have made a 50% water change.
Can someone please explain this phenomenon and how to prevent it? Cheers

It could be the light at play. Will you please upload a photo of the tank?

i thought so at first, I even thought it was the color of the table beneath. Then I took out some sample and it was rlly yellow-ish

Some salts have a residue. Are you using RODI water or tap from the faucet? (tap water will do this too.) Adding carbon or chemipure blue will rid of this discoloration.

Yes sir, of course Im using RODI for any purpose regarding to the tank. That’s why Im so confused.

Im using Red Sea Salt

There might be something built up in it.

Interesting... Red Sea salt usually doesn’t leave a residue.

Maybe try a water change to clear things up?

They are all brand new, I bought them just 2 days ago

Yea alr did. Now Im hopelessly waiting haha

Mix some in a clear glass. If it stays clear than it’s something with the tank equipment/media
