Cycling a Waterbox 10 for reef set up and I am hoping I can get some help with filtration ideas. It came set up like this: The first chamber has a filter sick, the second chamber has a layer of sponge, then carbon mesh bag, then bag of ceramic ring and two more layers of sponge. Third chamber is return pump and heater. I left it how it was because I figured they know best, but after reading and looking at as many vids as I can find, is there a simpler set up without having to dig out the sponges and change those bags? Should I get a skimmer? If so, what could I rid of in my current setup to make space for that? Its been cycling for 3 weeks and I would like to figure everything out before adding life in there. I have 10 lbs dry rock and 10 lbs live sand with Aquatop 118gph pump, and Aquatop 256 circulation pump. Thank you in advance for any advice.
