just wanted to get a thread started as I build my new reef tank. It’s a waterbox 110.4 with two mp40’s,3 xr15’s and I’ll keep adding details as I get things setup. But for now here is a picture of the setup so far. Also my first attempt as rock scaping.

Looking Great so far! Keep this up

Came home from a 6-day vacation, and my tank is nice and clear now. The only thing I need to fix now is the bare spots the mp40s create in the sand bed. What do you guys think of the rock work?

From experience of having a way too packed biocube, move your rock away from the walls enough to get your hand and future coral growth in. I tend to enjoy the smaller critters who love pushing frags (or each other) off and it’s a pain when you can’t reach in without chipping off a branch or get your scrubber caught on something. I can’t tell you how many times my snails decide that’s the cliff they decide to dive off of and become a crab meal when they land and can’t right themselves. Plus I have patches on my glass that regardless of my limited contortion skills, I cannot scrub. Love my little PITAs but holy moly pick a different jump point!❤️❤️

What kind of small critters do you have? Looking to add some to my tank.

I have several different hermits that I love watching, in particular my large blue knuckle, Halloween, scarlet, blue legs, blue eyes, striped, and a variety that have odd looks (one has a disproportionately large white claw on a brown body). I have an urchin, strawberry crab, serpent star, emeralds, an arrow crab and an acro crab. I also have a variety of snails, a couple that are about the size of a 50 cent piece. I have one pita flame-hawk bully who is king of his fiefdom. My tank is STUFFED so I really really need to upgrade.

Update to my build. Thank to @Tenecor Aquariums for the amazing DiY ATO 10 gallon reservoir. I bought a second one so I can have 20 gallons for when I go away. It’s in my theater room so I needed something that looked nice. It’s on the left of my tank you can barley see it’s even there.
