I currently have a 60 gallon frag tank and my corals and fish are doing OK, but just OK. It seems my Kole Tang, Lyretail Anthia and Saddleback Clown aren't fans of 11 inches of tank height (I don't blame them). Good flow is almost impossible to achieve with all the rock and corals and I don't have a sump since its not drilled so I'm constantly battling algae, cyano, etc. My HOB skimmer and Aquaclear refugium can only do so much nutrient export for a loaded tank. I'm only 18 so living the broke college life but I'm sick and tired of using cheap improvised equipment that limits my ability to have the tank I want. I'm a chemistry major and I want to possibly pursue a career in aquaculture if I can land a job after graduation so I want to start taking the hobby much more seriously. I'm about to just bite the bullet and get a proper tank so that I'm not fighting my equipment alongside the 19 billion other things that go wrong in a reef tank. I'm thinking the Waterbox 110.4 Marine X is my best option because I can make payments, its quality, and gives me the space and technology to basically do whatever I need. I will probably add another fish maybe two but my main concern is transferring my coral. I want to eliminate the aptasia plaguing my rockwork and as much of the nuisance algae hiding within as I can during the transfer. I'll be using mostly base rock but I have large coral colonies attached to pieces of my rock that I'd prefer to keep. How should I go about removing pests? I'm thinking about chipping a small piece off near the base under the large leather corals but my palys, zoas, mushrooms, anthelia would be almost impossible to do that. Any special dip that would be effective for these large colonies? I will probably buy some aptasia eating nudibranchs as well once it pops up again. Also I'm open to alternative tank options if anyone knows any but I'm short on cash so would want something that I could pay off monthly (under $150 a month, I have good credit) and doesn't break the bank too bad. Thanks guys REEF2REEF is the best

Costly equipment. Custom tanks to the nicest pumps to leds. that have storm settings.

200+ gal tanks... to sump in the basement to auto wcs... the list goes on.
U know ur a reefer when u build your house around your custom reef tank. Lol.

Dude I knew had a whole basement with sinks and drains in the floors ect. Lol. It was good to see for him cuz I knew he can grow coral. Military. Both him and her so I understood but wow amazing the vids I was seeing. Lol.

car is payed for thankfully... but I was going to apply to make monthly payments through waterbox because they offer a 0% interest payment plan for like $110 a month, its the only way I can afford it. I didn't understand a single word in your other post though
