I keep finding my tank backed up in chamber 1. This causes my ATO in chamber 3 to pump extra water in and it's not needed.

I thought maybe the filter was too dirty but it happened again the day after I changed it. Chamber 2 and 3 get real low, chamber 1 and main display keep raising.

I've got blue on top, small bag of chem pure in 2 and green floss in bottom chamber of the media basket.

I have 2 sponge blocks and a bag of bio balls in chamber 2, nothing that covers the whole front to back to block flow.

Chamber 3 has the return and heater.

Anyone have any ideas?

Do you have pics of your setup?
Yeah sorry I meant to post this, I didn't get a pic when it was about to overflow.

I have been running this setup for around 6 months, haven't changed anything.

It’s a common issue with intank baskets and filter floss. They create a very tight seal and can cause issues. Try removing your floss and see if it still happens. Bet it doesn’t.

It doesn't, but why would it just start happening now?

Any change in anything? Just start using floss? Maybe even just a buildup of bacteria etc. between basket and the tank walls impending flow.

Haven't changed anything in months, other changing floss pads. Maybe I'll brush out between the walls during next wc.

I am having same issue. I swap filter daily or some days run without one.
Watch out that it hasn't changed your salinity. Did mine quite a bit. Just a heads up before it becomes a problem.

I shut off my ATO till levels back out

Thank you everyone, Sounds like a flow restriction issue and so close to having the answer.

In my system, I have to check for algae build up with the overflow, in the tank. I am cleaning the louvers once a week.

I am doing weekly maintenance today and plan on checking all spots that could have build up.

My waterbox 15 with an intank just started this. If I remove the floss it levels out. Anyone come up with a solution as to why this is happening? Has worked great for two months now this..
Also I don’t use the sponges in chamber two.

Too much media in chamber 1.

I’m having the same issue using filter floss in chamber 1 with the mini peninsula. I do not have the intank basket (I have the kraken cup). What is the solution? Should I use the sponges if I can’t run floss? Or is there a way to run floss and not have this issue?

chamber 1 only has floss,
chamber 2 has bio and carbon in bags on the bottom (no basket), heater
Chamber 3 return and ATO sensor
