Waterbox 20 Build

About 8 months in on the Waterbox 20. I went a little heavy on stocking but the tank is thriving and coral is growing. LPS and Softie heavy focused on Euphylia.

Awesome!! I run the same tank. Where the pics!!! ???

What do you think of the 3d printed diffuser was thinking of getting one myself as the shimmering/disco effect is a little much for me. Heard you cut your light output by like 20% any truth in this? You don't have a sensey or par meter do you?

Pics are coming as soon as I get home! lol I love the light diffuser. I will never not have one. I don't have a par meter but I have several torches, acans and GSP on the bottom and have zero issues with them opening up. That's always my general rule for any tank is if the fish and coral are happy, don't mess with it! lol

Mightyjet Desktop DC Pump - what's this?

Diffuser blends the light and gets rid of the disco ball effect. I have no complaints about the ATO I’ve got the same one on another tank and no issues. MP10 is a controllable Powerhead and the mighty jet is an upgrade to the stock return pump.

I guess I haven’t noticed a “disco ball effect” with my 16HD prime.
so the upgraded return does what over the stock?
I can’t figure out how to take apart the return in my tank. The store where I got it put it together and all I can do is point it down, up or sideways. Not straight ahead.

The flow is controllable instead of a constant speed. To take it apart you unscrew it by the return nozzle

It is but the back side of the ball joint is threaded.

I just ordered the intank chamber one so excited to get it. Let's see a pic of that purple fire fish! I still don't know what my next fish will be.

Nice setup! How are you finding the Mightyjet Desktop DC Pump in the waterbox cube 20 in terms of noise? Currently I have a Sicce Syncra Silent (1.0) and am finding it too loud for the loungeroom (which is generally a quiet room on a quiet street).

I have been recommended a DC pump to get rid of the noise. Your pump looks like a tight fit in the return pump chamber but I guess you managed!
