Waterbox 20 Build

Starting this thread to capture my reefing progress. I started reefing a year ago with a Fluval Evo but found a sweet deal on a Waterbox 20. My wife is really into aquariums as well so I am incorporating a lot of her design and stocking ideas.

I am doing the BRS/WWC Hybrid cycling method for this build.

Current Setup:
Stock pump (Sicce 1.0 on order)
Vortech MP10
Radion XR15 G4 Pro
Kraken Reef Floss Cup
Kraken Reef Lid (on order)
CaribSea Life Rock
Tropic Eden Mesoflake Sand
Cobalt Heater

My wife really likes the floating reef look so I am trying aquascape based on that design.

Design for the floating reef shelf. I bent a piece of acrylic and drilled holes for flow and passage in and out of the rockwork. I played around with the CaribSea Life Rock and came up with this design. It has several entrances into the rock structure.

I liked the look of the rock shelf inverted much better as I could not see the acrylic above the rock structure. I used silicone to attach the shelf to the back glass. I let the silicone cure for several days and moved the rock structure over to the tank. Added sand as well.

Very nice! I thought of doing the same with my WB20 build. Really like the floating scape concept. Will you leave that rock on the lower left?

Yes...I wanted a sandbed island for zoas or gsp.
