I’ve got the same tank and skimmer but I’ve my skimmer set way lower I wonder if my water level is to low or I’m doing something wrong with the skimmer. This is my first reef tank so a lot of the salt water gear is new to me

You can adjust the water level in the back be lower your return pump speed and how high you set your ATO. This worked for me at least.

UPDATE:
I didn’t have enough outlets with the provided quad wifi strip, so I went ahead and got myself an XP8. So far so good, all my devices are hooked up and running on the Hydros ecosystem.

The beauty of old gear. I set up my first-ever salt mixing station! I bought a 7-gallon Tunze bucket and used my old Aqamai KPS and Cobalt 50W heater from my old Fluval Evo. My choice of salt is Tropic Marin Pro-Reef, and I'm using a Hanna Salinity tester.

Update: I will be getting ready to move the tank from Torrance to Sherman Oaks, a 28-mile commute in LA. I'm not too worried since my tank in its current state is a FOWLR, and I don't have any corals to worry about; however, here are my plans. Any feedback is greatly appreciated!
- I have two buckets for transporting the rockscape, and I will keep them submerged in water to preserve beneficial bacteria.
- I have a small one-gallon bucket that I will use to transport my clownfish/fire shrimp—wondering if this is going to be an issue with any aggression. Thoughts?
- I have a reef glass skimmer that I plan on using for aeration.
- I will leave the third bucket mixing new saltwater at my new apartment to do a 20% water change upon arrival.
- The remaining water will be transported in water jugs.
- Equipment will be left in the AIO chambers, and I don't see the need to remove the pump/skimmer/heater/etc. Although this would be a great time to give everything a good cleaning, I have a lot of other things to move, and the tank is relatively new.

I added one of the last pieces of equipment (that I can fit at le easy): a two little fishies little reactor. Currently running carbon to polish the water a little, but might use bio pellets or GFO since I’ve had an uptic in phosphates.
I have a bit of a green hair algae problem that was self inflicted - I fed new corals way too heavy/frequent. I’ve been fighting those by cutting out my white lights, feeding appropriately, and using Dr. Tims gels. So far it’s been slowly fighting it, and in combination with water changes, I think I’m heading in the right direction.
Anyways, here’s a couple of pics for y’all to enjoy. Cheers!

A couple of updates to the tank:
1. I am using a filter roller on my tank from iSeaLive. So far, this has stabilized my nutrient export; Phosphates are reading at 0.01 and Nitrates 0.1.
2. I started dozing All for Reef; Alkalinity is finally within acceptable parameter, but it has fluctuated from from 7-10 dKH. Calcium has been harder to dial in; sitting at 600 ppm and now bottoming at 297.
All in all, the corals seem happy and I’ve added a rainbow BTA that is doing well. I’ve battled a little bit of dynos/cyano, but I feel like I’m at the tail end of that phase and things are starting to make a turn for the better. Here are some pics of the tanks current state.

So far I am rolling the filter every 2-3 days, similar to when I was cleaning out a filter sock really. I haven’t seen an impact go water level in the back chambers as a result of the fleece getting dirty. Interesting enough, my protein skimmer is working a lot less and is producing less skimmate. I’ve since adjusted the schedule to run 7a-7p.

I'm not the OP but I really like my reef glass, it produces a lot of brown sludgy skimate but requires some tweaking and a lot of cleaning/maintenance to get it to work properly. But overall it works hard and I would highly recommend for a nano

Sure do, but I lost my clown when we moved into our new house. I bought a bonded pair of tomato clown fish and they’ve been harassing the nem. Considering getting them out and getting a new Allardi.
