So after selling my 105 rimless and 28g jbj nanocube about 5 years ago, my wife and I were recently talking about how we missed our reef tank and wanted to get back into it again. We decided we wanted to stay with the aio route and look for another small tank. Fast forward a couple weeks, I found a pretty decent deal on a Waterbox 20 cube near me and we purchased it. Got it set up a couple days ago. Looking forward to updating the progress as it goes. So far I’ve gotten the tank cleaned up, added nearly 20lb of Fiji pink live sand, 8lb live rock and 12 lb dry caribsea moana rock. Running an AI Prime 16HD with flex arm, AI Nero 3 pump, in tank media basket. 100w heater, xpaqua ATO with a 5 gal reservoir. Got the wiring all tidied up yesterday. I think it’s working out well. What do you think about the aquascape?

Well a few weeks in I have been able to add a pair of clowns and some coral. Everything has been going well, ammonia and nitrite have stayed at zero and nitrates at around 2 on the Red Sea test kit. Thinking about changing placement of my Nero 3 to the side glass to try that out, but other than one of my two head torches not really wanting to extend much everything is looking well. Even have 3 new heads growing on my Duncan. Hopefully going to find a pistol shrimp/goby pair next week and some more corals. Still playing with lighting settings. Running on a modified brs ab+ preset currently. I’m on day 19 of my 5 gal ATO reservoir without refilling it. Probably will need to swap that out for the full jug by tomorrow. Just need to pick up an auto feeder for when we go out of town for a few days at a time. Sorry for the bad photos. I need to pick up a filter for my phone camera.
