Waterbox 20 cube !!!

So I ordered a 20 cube during their blue friday event . I received it a week ago and love it ! The build quality is very good . Silicone is perfect on all seams . I have it on a side table that matches my living room tables right now but are having a stand to match my new 120 stand built after the holidays .

I plan to have a pair of Perculas and BTA as the center piece , barebottom with zoanthids and encrusting corals covering the bare glass .

Im going to use the supplied pump for the return with a tunze nano 6055 for circulation . Eheim Jager 150 heater . Looking to either buy an ATO or use my Apex with optic sensor running a solenoid in my RO/DI line . JbJ doser if I need it .Eventually a hob skimmer .

Im going to run Brightwell bio cubes and carbon in the filter system along with dosing of Brightwell Microbacter7 . Im going to use the ‘real reef rock’ for scaping . I wish I could get 2.75 “ mesh socks for it . Im trying to replicate my 40breeder system minus the sand and calcium reactor . The lighting is a AI Sol Blue for now until I figure out if I like it or not . Its mounted using a Radion single arm mount . Im going to paint the cover black to match everything else .

So Im hoping to get the rock after this week and get it fired up and cycling .

Rock in the tank today along with a eheim jager 125w heater ! I also purchased a eshopps 2 gallon ato reservoir ! Im gonna run a Apex pmup through the apex tied into an Apex optic sensor and FFM module .

Saltwater in and everything running . Im still trying to dial in the eheim heater , It was running higher than where I had it set so I calibrated it with a infared thermometer and am trying to get it to fall to 78 . Taking forever . I dosed the Brightwell Microbacter7 and it smells like a reef tank already

Im gonna have my friend make a set of bars with his 3d printer so I can mount the Sol Blue in the center of the mount and adjust the arm back so it doesnt bounce as much .

Only thing Im not crazy about so far is the microbubbles coming from the Auto Top pump that came with the cube . Im hoping it clears up once bacteria covers everything .

Also Im scrapping my original idea of using the apex as the ATO and purchased a tunze osmolator nano for a great price yestetday Im going to run instead !

Cant wait until its cycled !

Whats up guys ! Tank is chugging along . I added a couple damsels and a few frags from my display to see what happens . Its been almost two weeks and everything looks good .

I really want to build a filter cup to replace the sock in the filter system . I cant stand felt filter socks . I dont know how I want to go about it , it would be nice to find someone with a 20 cube that has figured something out to replace the sock .
