Hey there R2R community my names Ace and i just picked up my brand new All in 1 water box 20 couldn't be more excited! Im getting ready for to begin the cycle on this and was curios what others are using for filtration on this little guy. Literally just have the factory sock, pump and added a Reefbreeders v2 light. Really curious to what you guys have added to the little sump chambers. Any one using a mini skimmer? preferences? Really love the feed back and cant wait to get this thing going

I have a water box 10 and just use filter floss, rubble rock and thats about it .. every now and then I do some carbon in a bag and toss it in my media basket.

The WB filter socks are super fine and will get clogged easily. You can use them but you'll need at least one spare and you'll be changing them all the time. If that works for you there's nothing wrong with going that way.

I removed the plastic tabs that are siliconed to the first chamber to hold the sock and bought an In Tank media basket for chamber 1. I put a piece of filter pad in the top, drop a bag with a couple of ounces of Rox 0.8 carbon on top just for a day once a week and run a couple different kinds ofmedia in the other 2 chambers.

The media are pod hotels and really don't catch much debris so a light rinse in tank water every couple of months keeps things flowing

3d print a filter floss cup to replace the filter sock. middle chamber I just have rubble and my heater. 3rd chamber ato and pump of course. no other filtration needed with water changes every 1-2 weeks

If im not mistaken the 10 has 3 chambers right? you just put all in the center?

So mines actually called a Icecap all in one and looks identical to the water box but after chamber 1 there's a small one then large chamber 3 and then another smaller one before pump chamber. the 2-4 are definitely large enough for carbon pads or something similar

i like this does im guessing it hangs on the side or does it go to the bottom?

It hangs on the divider between the first and second chamber and leaves room underneath for the water to flow freely in the next chamber.

I removed the little tabs holding the filter sock in chamber 1 and made my own media basket ( you can see my build thread for pics and DIY, I show it all ;) ) filter socks are a pain, I rather replace floss than have to be washing the socks .
