This might be more of a rant but I just don't know how else to get it out, right now I am very frustrated with my tank. I'm not fighting any out-of-control algae, dino's, or anything crazy like that it's more of just bad personal choices. Being my first tank I know now what I would do differently:
1) I wish I had never put pandora zoanthids in my tank, they have taken over the major part of my aquascape and I don't know of any way to easily get rid of them and sadly I also like the other zoanthids that they share a rock with. I tried to kill some of them with Joe's Juice but they just closed up for a few days and then opened back up.
2) I'm pretty sure the peppermint shrimp I put in my tank to take care of aiptasia went rogue. Not only is some growing back but he's not even bothering with it and I'm fairly certain he is digging at my blastomussa's. They used to be open and happy and shortly after he went in they've started being more closed. I know it wasn't the emerald crab I had in there as well as I removed it and put him in the back chambers of my AIO.
3) I don't know if my tiger pistol shrimp is still alive, I haven't heard him snapping in about a week. My yellow watchman goby is coming out, grabbing food, and staying generally near the burrow they finally ended up at after clearing out underneath my entire large rock structure but I'm concerned something happened to him and I have no easy way to tell if he's still alive.
I have a 15gal peninsula tank that I could probably get set up and transfer everything over to while I reboot my 20gal tank and put a little more thought into it but I'm trying to think if it would be worth it and how could I get some of the zoanthids moved back over once I do get it cycled and ready?
