Waterbox 220.6 and ClariSea SK-5000 Install Help

I'm tired of the filters and ready to pull the trigger on a ClariSea. I know I'm going to have to remove the baffles in the sump and convert the plumbing from metric to standard. Has anyone done this yet?

How hard is it to remove the baffles?
How did you handle replumbing, since the main drain isn't centered and the emergency drain is?
Were you able to use the brackets to hang the unit or were the drains in the way?

I'm sure I can figure this all out, but would rather not reinvent the wheel if someone else has done it already. Thanks!

Devin from reef dudes did a video on removing the sock holder. It was a long process and he had to use a hammer to get it out. With that he cracked the sump but was able to fix it. I know the baffles will come out given enough time and determination...and the right tools.

If you wind up doing this takes a video and lots of pics so you can teach others.

I saw that video. I think I'll use a glass cutter to try and avoid cracking the sump.

Any one have insight on the replumbing? I believe I need a 32mm to 1" Metric to Standard PVC Adapter, but I'm curious on how people have rerouted the drain and emergency drains.

I am definitely interested in seeing what you come up with! I have a 7226 and I have been looking to convert from the KLIR’s that I currently have. I’m sick of them and I want a ClariSea.

I have all the plumbing parts for my WB, waiting on my new sump to come. If you go on coralvue’s website you can buy the metric to standard unions. This will help with not having to buy the metric to standard adapters as well as a metric slip x slip coupler.
