Waterbox 40.2 AIO Build

Hi,

If possible, could you take measurements of the internal chamber dimensions minus the baffling? I have this tank coming and want to pickup some equipment for it during the Black Friday sales. Want to make sure everything fits.

Thank you

Pump chamber 5 1/2 x 4 3/4. Next out 4x 4 3/4. Sock chamber 3 1/4 x 4 3/4.
Good luck.

Can't wait to see the progression of this tank! Moving soon and will be downgrading to a smaller aquarium for about a year or so and this will be my next aquarium. Im very impressed with the waterbox aquariums. I currently have an innovative marine sr60 and while i love it, i think the waterbox's glass overflow wall is better as the acrylic ones scratch so easily.

How are you liking it? Also do you like the return pump it came with?

Thanks I am really enjoying everything. It's hard to photograph lol but I did upload a couple youtube videos.

I pretty much told myself that I had to keep my 2 clown fish alive for 6 months before I got any thing else. I am getting close so am trying to decide where I want to go - as far as livestock goes.
Yes, the glass overflow wall is great, overall really nice craftsmanship for sure. I got a aquamaxx hob skimmer that is a real beast. The stock pump was actually a bit loud. I ended up with a KEDSUM 550GPH Submersible Pump - the chamber is a bit tight - I wanted the 880 Kedsum pupm but that was about 2 mm too big. The entire system is quiet enough I wish I had actually set it up in my bedroom. I just ordered an aquamaxx algae reactor - I am probably overfeeding (I have a few snails, a peppermint shrimp and a sea cucumber that I was afraid of starving lol) but have only minimal algae. I have this idea that I am going to plant a couple mangroves in the second chamber.

Cheers!

is the upgraded 550GPH pump too powerful for the tank or just right? When i saw videos on the stock pump i knew i was going to end up changing it out.
Beautiful clown fish btw. I also have a pair of blacker ice, now 2 years old. The female is about 2.5 inches and the males is 2 inches. Absolutely my favorite designer clown fish. Although my pair won't host any anemone that i introduce into the tank. Have tried everything, even putting all of them in a little breeder box. They hosted while in the breeder box but as soon as i re-introduced them into the tank, they went right back to their corner of the tank that they host.
I have been slowly buying my gear i will be using with this tank, I too have an AquaMaxx algae reactor waiting to be used. As for the skimmer i bought Cadlight's new PLS-50 V2.

The upgraded pump is good. It is silent and I like that a lot.

Six months in, how are you liking the tank?

Thanks

I like it a lot thanks. I think it is a great tank to start the saltwater hobby. I told myself that I had to keep my clowns alive for 6 months before I got anything else. Well except some cuc, that cucumber looks like a johnsonville brat lol. I did some rearranging of my scape a few nights ago to add the flat cut pieces. The tank itself is (I think) really beautiful, I have a few pairs of filter socks - they get dirty pretty easily. The upgraded pump has remained silent I really want a Magnificent anemone, I understand that my tank needs to mature another 6-12 months before I could realistically keep one alive. For this reason I resist filling it with '5$ frags' from my LFS. The clowns are fun to watch, the male is hosting the corner - he is in love lol. They have grown a lot and gotten pretty spoiled on chopped seafood from the local market.

So after a couple years I thought of posting an update. I have learned so much from this site, wow. Some tears and frustration but I finally have a pictures to post. My carpet anemone, aka sarlacc anemone gets along with the clown and the lawnmower has learned to keep its distance lol. I have done flooring work and had electric work done for my next tank. Medium to long term plans for a planet aquarium tank but that will be at least another couple years. Until then, be well,
