Waterbox 50.3 Peninsula

Hello everyone.I thought I would finally do a build thread for my tank.Tank is a Waterbox 50.3 peninsula

Tank= Waterbox 50.3 peninsula

Stand= Custom made by myself

Lighting= 2 AI prime HD

Return pump= Sicce 1.5

Powerheads= 2 Jebao SLW-10

Sand=40 pounds Tropiceden

Rocks=About 25 pounds Caribsea shapes

Tank has been running little over 3 weeks now and I’m really in love with it so far.Tank was cycled with media from older tank I had.Looking forward to finally start stocking it but in no rush cause as we all know nothing good comes fast in this hobby

Love the setup so far! Overall, what are your thoughts about the filtration and flow? I’ve always had a tough time dialing in the flow with peninsula tanks.

Honestly I think this tank is going to do great flow wise being the display is only about 30inches long so with my 2 pumps 1 high and 1 low is enough.Now thing’s might change once I get coral in tank.Filtration wise I love the simplicity of an AIO only running a media basket at the moment and will add skimmer at some point

Tank looks awesome! I saw you had a more complex setup before this tank that you're trying to sell. What made you switch to the Waterbox 50.3? I really want to buy the WB cause it looks incredible.

No probably not.they are really only going to get you 18x18 coverage so 2 is perfect IMO

I have zero complaints about them.Quite good flow and modes and how can you beat the price

Thanks for the reply. I think I will snatch one up to replace the Hydor Koralia I have now. The Hydor squeals like crazy every time I restart it after feeding.

Well I actually had to breakdown tank and reset back up do to unexpected home repairs lol

Hey! Was wondering what your filtration looks like? Was wondering what to do w mine since I bought it used it doesn’t have any media.

Question, where did you get the tank and what did you spend on it if you don’t mind sharing. Looking for a AOI peninsula tank for an island in my kitchen for a fresh water set up. Best one I’ve found so far is the Fiji 38 gallon
