Waterbox 7225 - Help silencing overflow

What pump are you running? Feeding anything else off the main return? You water level looks a little high to me. I can tell you mine is dead silent, the only time it makes a sound is when it is coming out of a feeding cycle and settling.

I'm running the Vectra L2. I'm also running clarisea SK500. I'll take a pic of the water level and post it. How do I lower the water level in the display?

The main line is the one with the valve, it is completely submerged making a complete siphon, the second line drains a little water and adjusts with the valve, if you have a third line it is emergency and runs dry

Level in the overflow...lower it. Try this, set the pump speed at about 50%, adjust the gate valve till you get it silent. Then slowly adjust your pump speed up, while adjusting your gate valve to adjust the level (sound) in the over flow. Adjust the pump slowly.. you will find a point that you will not be able to adjust the gate valve to have the affect you want.. come down on the pump accordingly.

I just filled my WB 7225 today! I am going through some pump and valve adjustments as well. I think I have too much flow in the sump. Can you post a pic of your water level and maybe a short video on the water moving through your sump?

I'm happy to help. Congrats on your new tank! You're going to love it. Please PM me and we can chat.

How did you get it silent? I hade the same aquarium with the same issue… Trying to balance the valve and return pump but no luck…
It will quite down over time but itself in my experience. Just make sure your water level in the sump is correct. When making changes to the return valve, just make slight changes then wait 10 minutes before making changes.

Don’t give up, you’ll get there. How old is your tank?
Brand new. I don't even care about the noise at this point. No matter how delicately, or how much I adjust the gate valve, the return chamber water level, never completely covers the pump. I finally got it to a level where it just covered the rear housing of the pump and then in the middle of the night, it was shooting bubbles in the WC. Flow is pulled back to 15% and I haven't changed it so I don't know whats going on.

Help! I know this is an old post but how did you do it? This is getting rough :frowning-face:

Let's get you some help. What is the problem? Noise in the overflow, or water level in the sump, or what?
